WHAT FASHION MEANS TO ME
Superficiality is the first word that comes to mind when I think fashion. Who's wearing what, the price, the ever evolving trends? But really to me and many others, it's art; it's a way to push my limits of insecurity's, reflecting my moods, morals, my whole being into what I wear that day. I am showing people who I am through these art pieces I put on my body. It's living art. That's always how I've seen fashion. Not to mention corrupt, child labor is a major topic, animal abuse - well honestly we are simply killing them off. As I said corrupt and morally wrong, and I know there are genocides, political dramas and all these unacceptable changes happening in our society; not to mention climate change...so fashion seems like the last thing we should be thinking of. And yet here we are, so what makes fashion so important? Well for me its a form of expression, a responsibility of sorts, it's a way to see my self-blossom, it is an ever changing reflection of who I am and want to be; such a thing cannot be ignored. I hope I answered my own question...
